National Triolian Year 1933

National Triolian serial number 2915W year 1933 color brown. The story goes that the Triolian was supposed to have three cones like the original Tricone. After considering the success of their competitor, The Dobro Instrument Company, with a single cone resonator, at the last minute they switched it to a single cone resonator, but already had the marketing complete under the name of Triolian so they kept it. After solid feedback from the customers, it was set in stone that The national Triolian would be a single cone resonator guitar.

This original 1933 Trillion is in almost brand new, right out of the box condition. Here’s my theory; There is a slight crack in the fingerboard. If you look close you won’t be able to feel it, but it’s there. I suspect it was put on the shelf at the back of the factory as a factory second. At this point it’s in a condition of a brand new guitar and it is spectacular. Rings like a bell with NO buzzing.

This guitar is truly special. They are still making this guitar today, but it’s not even in the same ballpark as this original 1933.
