National Tricone year 1928

National Instrument company started in 1928 with this guitar. National Tricone year 1928 serial number 0273 production number 155.  John Dopyera and his brother designed this guitar with three cones humming simultaneously and the sound has been sought after ever since and is still being made today. The new productions don’t even come close to this original first year production number 155 off the line, this original is made out of German silver. This guitar started the dobro phenomenon. The following year Jon Dopyera and his brother left a national instrument company and started the dobro instrument company short for Dopyera and brother, this first year production guitar is in excellent shape plays and sounds amazing. Appears as though the tuners have been replaced with original like production as far as I can tell everything else is original.
