Dobro models 55 Year 1929

Dobro model 55 serial number 1066 production number 266 year 1929. In 1929 John Dopyera and his brother left the national instrument company which they started a year earlier. They then started the Dobro instrument company, short for Dopyera Brothers. They had changed the original Tricone to a single resonator, which actually gave them more volume and is now considered the classic dobro guitar. They are still being manufactured today, though not even close to the sound and quality that you get from the original. This first year production of the original dobro plays and sounds spectacular.
