Gibson EH150 serial number 365–19, year 1937. The first electric guitars we’re lap steel guitars. The first of which came out within 2 years earlier, but sales were very low. Gibson could see the writing on the wall and came out with their first electric guitar in 1937 (and really the first marketed and produced electric guitar). It was a lap steel guitar. Six months later, they put it into a traditional box guitar. The electric guitar was then born, and we have never looked back, This Gibson EH 150 is from the first year production of Gibsons first electric guitar and is in A+ condition. The jazz guitarist Charlie Christian was involved in the design and the pick ups have become famous and sought after generally referred to as the Charlie Christian pick up, if you are a lap steel guitar player this is as good as it gets
